About the Role
UNV is seeking a Partnership Analyst to strengthen country-level partnerships, business intelligence, volunteer mobilization and operational coordination in Tanzania.
The position focuses on strengthening UNV’s engagement with UN agencies, government institutions, civil society and private-sector partners, while identifying opportunities to integrate volunteer solutions into development, humanitarian and peace-related programmes.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and maintain partnerships with UN agencies, government institutions, civil society and other stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for volunteer deployment in development, humanitarian and peace portfolios.
- Analyze partner needs, UN planning frameworks and country priorities.
- Support country-level volunteer mobilization strategies.
- Promote volunteerism through outreach activities and awareness campaigns.
- Prepare presentations, briefing materials, analytical notes and knowledge products.
- Develop country-level business intelligence on UN partner mandates and programme pipelines.
- Monitor mobilization trends, KPIs and business intelligence data.
- Support strategic planning, forecasting and decision-making.
- Coordinate with security officers and host entities to support UN Volunteer duty of care.
- Maintain regular contact with serving UN Volunteers and support their wellbeing and performance.
- Support the Field Unit’s annual work plan, performance indicators, budget and reporting.
- Supervise and support UNV personnel assigned to the Field Unit.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Applicants should have either:
- Master’s Degree in partnership, social sciences, international development, project management, public/business administration or a related field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, plus at least 4 years of relevant experience.

Experience working with UNDP, UNV, the UN system or other international organizations is an advantage.
Experience in volunteer management, promotion of volunteerism or engagement with civil society organizations is also an advantage.

Contract & Eligibility
The successful candidate will be offered a UNDP NPSA contract.
