Job Summary

The Sales Officer will focus on growing the client base and building strong customer relationships by opening accounts for new customers, developing and managing profitable portfolios for both savings and credit clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct sales drives and explain FINCA products and services to potential and existing clients.
• Open accounts for both savings and loan clients in the field or at the branch.
• Partner with the Branch Manager to develop daily, weekly, and monthly action plans focused on:
  • Growing the client base.
  • Increasing the number of loan disbursements.
  • Opening savings accounts.
  • Building and managing profitable customer relationships.
  • Achieving individual performance goals.
• Market all FINCA products and services to potential clients using promotional tools and mechanisms approved by FINCA management.
• Submit quality loan applications to the Credit Department.
• Manage client relationships and understand customer needs in order to propose appropriate solutions to customer challenges.
• Ensure clients have access to banking services by establishing and promoting agencies and other alternative delivery channels that provide quality and reliable services.
• Prepare and present sales and performance reports as required by the Branch Manager.
• Ensure all customer documentation is properly managed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Business-related studies, Social Studies, Community Development, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field.
• Experience in a client-facing sales role, education, or the agricultural sector is highly desirable.
• Basic mathematics and analytical skills.
• Good writing and reading comprehension skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong customer orientation.
• Experience in micro-lending is an added advantage.
