Context and Environment

Tanzania is an Anglophone country with more than 60 active Oil Marketing Companies. TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited (TEMTL) is one of the leading Oil Marketing Companies in Tanzania. The market is strictly regulated, and the local currency is the Tanzanian shilling.

The Compliance Executive interacts with management and non-management staff, as well as internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence searches, including following up on due diligence questionnaires, and provide support to relevant team members and third parties involved in the process.
• Coordinate the Tone at the Top program for the affiliate and maintain an effective compliance communication program by promoting awareness of the Code of Conduct and relevant company policies.
• Assist the Compliance Officer/PCD in organizing compliance-related training at least once every quarter for staff and other relevant external stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication and continuous improvement of the compliance program.
• Collaborate with all departments to ensure their policies and procedures align with Group directives.
• Work with the Human Resources Department to ensure mandatory and effective participation in e-learning and other compliance training programs.
• Promote the Company’s Compliance Program to operational entities and associates, including service station staff.
• Facilitate appropriate compliance training sessions for new and existing staff, dealers, vendors, transporters, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Monitor and record customer complaints relating to ethics and compliance.
• Monitor and update relevant compliance reports, including the annual compliance activities report.
• Comply with Total Golden Rules and promote the use of STOP Cards.
• Create Purchase Orders and generate Goods Receipts for purchases made for the Finance and Accounts Department.
• Develop and maintain a proper filing system.
• Ensure memos, letters, and other documents are delivered to the relevant departments or units.
• Receive and maintain records of invoices from all departments.
• Ensure all units within the Finance and Accounts Department have the necessary stationery to support their operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.
