Role Overview

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising, monitoring and ensuring the proper execution of all civil engineering works in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards and approved designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day execution of civil works.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
• Monitor the quality of construction materials and workmanship.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
• Inspect completed works and certify compliance with design requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, laboratory personnel and other project stakeholders.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues.
• Monitor project progress and prepare technical reports.
• Review contractors’ work plans, technical submittals and shop drawings.
• Ensure implementation of quality assurance and quality control procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional registration with a recognized engineering institution.
• Must have served as a Civil Engineer in at least one airport construction project within the last 10 years.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering works.
• Experience in the following will be an advantage:
  • Airside infrastructure works
  • Landside infrastructure works
  • Pavement construction
  • Drainage systems
  • Associated airport facilities
• Strong knowledge of construction standards, specifications and contract administration.
