Assistant Project Manager

Working Station

Dodoma & Elsewhere in Tanzania

Key Responsibilities

• Support project planning, scheduling, and daily site coordination.
• Prepare progress reports, maintain project records, and track site activities.
• Monitor costs, productivity, and resource utilization, and flag project risks.
• Support quality control, safety compliance, and issue resolution on site.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Assist in project close-out, handover documentation, and final inspections.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with consultants or client representatives when delegated.
• Ensure all work complies with legal requirements and industry standards.

Key Skills

• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational ability.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of construction methods, structural analysis, and materials science.
• Ability to implement safety protocols to mitigate project risks.
• Budgeting and cost control expertise.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Must be registered with the relevant professional certification/body.
• At least 15 years of proven experience in building infrastructure projects, including the design and development of high-rise buildings and complex structural systems.
