Jumla Africa is the exclusive distributor of Cobley tractors and agricultural implements in Tanzania. Cobley tractors are designed for African farming conditions and are supported through Jumla Africa’s extensive distribution network across Tanzania.

Jumla Africa is seeking experienced and skilled Senior Agri-Machinery Technicians to supervise mechanical teams, ensure efficient repair operations, and provide technical support for agricultural machinery.

Job Purpose

The Senior Agri-Machinery Technician will supervise the agricultural machinery mechanical team and ensure that repairs, maintenance, and customer support services are completed efficiently, safely, and within required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the Agri-Machinery Mechanical Team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance activities.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain tractors and other agricultural machinery.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Provide technical support and after-sales service to customers, including machinery troubleshooting and operational guidance.
• Ensure proper use and management of spare parts, repair manuals, and workshop tools.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and service reports.
• Support continuous improvement of workshop operations and service quality.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in agricultural machinery maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel, Word, and fleet management systems.
