ABOUT THE ROLE
The Big Best Company Ltd (TBB), a growing aquaculture company engaged in tilapia cage fish farming and fish feed manufacturing, is looking for a competent, experienced and results-oriented Fish Feed Plant Operations Manager to lead the overall operations of its Fish Feed Manufacturing Plant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Planning, coordinating and managing daily, weekly and monthly feed production.

Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery schedules are achieved.

Managing and maintaining production processes, inventory usage and minimizing wastage.

Monitoring plant capacity, productivity, downtime and production costs.

Ensuring compliance with feed quality, health, safety and environmental standards.

Coordinating with Procurement, Stores, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Finance, Logistics, Sales and Farm Operations.

Leadership, upholding and developing the plant production team.

Monitoring equipment performance and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance.

Preparing production, cost, quality, efficiency and operational reports for management.

Driving cost improvement, cost optimization and operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science/Food Technology, Animal Science, Fisheries/Aquaculture, Engineering, or Majority: Production, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

5–8 years’ relevant experience in manufacturing, production or plant operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/manager role.

Experimenting and maintaining fish feed, food processing, agro-processing or related manufacturing will be highly advantageous.

Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, raw material management and cost control.

Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel and production reporting systems.
