SBC Tanzania Limited is a leading beverage company engaged in the manufacturing, distribution, and sale of PepsiCo brands across Tanzania. The company is seeking a results-driven Warehouse Manager to oversee warehouse operations and drive operational excellence across its warehouses and primary transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Run Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee all Head Office warehouses in accordance with PepsiCo standards.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of bin cards, FEFO (First Expired, First Out), and warehouse housekeeping standards.
  • Maintain efficient and compliant warehouse operations.

2. Protect and Count Inventory

  • Control inventory expiries, shortages, damages, and pilferages.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts.
  • Investigate and address inventory variances.
  • Handle and respond to audit queries related to warehouse and inventory operations.

3. Maintain Agreed Inventory Days Cover

  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain the agreed days of cover.
  • Track pending orders with various vendors.
  • Ensure orders are placed well in advance to maintain appropriate inventory coverage.

4. Lead Teams and Build SOPs

  • Train and develop warehouse staff.
  • Rotate staff appropriately to support operational efficiency and continuity.
  • Establish clear responsibilities and accountabilities within warehouse teams.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each warehouse.

5. Manage Vendors and Goods in Transit (GIT)

  • Coordinate direct movement of materials from vendor plants to SBC plants to reduce multiple handling.
  • Monitor and ensure timely clearance of Goods in Transit (GIT).
  • Work closely with vendors and relevant internal departments to improve supply-chain efficiency.

6. Manage Inventory and Glass

  • Review inventory levels and determine re-ordering requirements and days of cover.
  • Identify and report dead stock and slow-moving inventory to the relevant departments.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of glass inventory with Kioo.
