Job Purpose

The Company Secretary will lead the Legal Entity Corporate Governance Strategy and Company Secretarial Function within the country.

The role is responsible for providing governance advisory services and ensuring compliance with best practices, legislative requirements, and regulatory standards relating to corporate governance.

Qualifications

• First Degree in one of the following fields:
  • Finance and Accounting
  • Corporate Governance
  • Law
  • A related field

Experience Required

Governance

• 8–10 years of experience in governance-related responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to embed Legal and Risk Management processes in line with relevant regulatory requirements, applicable codes of conduct, and minimum standards.
• A minimum of 10 years of post-graduation experience within the Financial Services Industry.
• At least 5 years of experience at senior management level.
• Proven ability to provide guidance to senior and executive leaders and Board members on legal and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to understand business operations and identify opportunities while operating within applicable laws and regulations.
