About African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD)

African Initiatives for Relief and Development (AIRD) was founded in 2006 and is a non-political, non-religious and non-profit making International NGO.

AIRD is currently working in 13 (Thirteen) African countries located in East, Central and West Africa.

AIRD’s objective is to offer operational support, including but not limited to: Supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, and rehabilitation services in partnership with relief and development organizations that focus on disaster-affected and development-oriented areas.

AIRD is an implementing partner for UNHCR in the management of Mechanical Workshops and Spare Parts, Warehousing, Fuel, Construction, and Fleet Operations in Tanzania.

AIRD is seeking for a potential suppliers to work within the following activities.

Prequalification lots and activities

LOT 1: Supply of Construction Materials and Tools

Supply and delivery to AIRD Office of various construction materials including:

• Cement

• Iron sheets

• Sand

• Building stones

• Manufactured construction products

• Timber

• Tools

• Other related items

LOT 2: Construction and Renovation Works

Construction, rehabilitation and renovation of:

• Offices

• Institutions / Community buildings

• Workshops

• Perimeter walls

• Related works

LOT 3: Supply and Delivery of Spare Parts, Tools, Equipment and Workshop consumables

Supply and delivery to AIRD Offices of spare parts, Tools, workshop consumables, and other related items for:

• Trucks

• Higer Buses

• Isuzu

• Toyota Coasters

• Light Vehicles (Toyota Land Cruiser)

LOT 4: Supply and Delivery of General office Equipment and consumables

Supply and delivery to AIRD Offices of:

• Equipment

• Consumables

• Other office supplies

LOT 5: Supply and delivery of printing works

Supply and delivery to AIRD Office of:

• Printing works

• Books

• Certificates

• Other Related works

LOT 6: Service provider for internet and Office equipment maintenance

Supply of internet materials, troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of:

• Office network

• Office equipment

LOT 7: Service provider for Fumigation works and Fire Extinguishers refill and Maintenance

• Supply of fumigation services.

• Supply of fire extinguishers refill and Maintenance services.

LOT 8: Service provider for Security Guard Services

Provide security guard services at AIRD Office Mubondo compound.

Eligibility/Evaluation Criteria

1. Mandatory requirements – 48 marks

Applicants must provide the following:

• Proof of legal registration in Tanzania.

• Tax Identification Number (TIN).

• A Valid Trading license.

• Proof of owing EFD receipt (For this requirement supplier needs to attached a copy of an EFD receipt issued within the past three months).

• Bank Account in your business name (The supplier needs to attach a copy of bank statement which shows that the bank account is he/her name and the statement should be within the past three months).

• Business physical address.

2. Technical requirements – 52 mark

Applicants must provide the following:

• Detailed company profile.

• Proven work experience in similar business and

• Evidence of technical abilities in the select area.
