About the Role

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing maintenance operations, infrastructure and technical systems across multiple safari lodges. The successful candidate will ensure that facilities and equipment remain safe, functional and efficient while leading maintenance teams and coordinating technical activities across properties.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee property maintenance, infrastructure and technical systems across multiple safari lodges.
2. Manage preventive maintenance programmes, inspections and repair activities.
3. Lead, supervise and support local maintenance teams to ensure effective service delivery.
4. Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of solar systems, generators, plumbing systems, pumps and boreholes.
5. Maintain high standards of workplace safety, sustainability and operational efficiency.
6. Travel between properties to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve technical challenges.
7. Identify maintenance needs and support improvements to the reliability and performance of lodge infrastructure.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• At least five years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• A Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical, mechanical and building maintenance.
• Proven leadership, team management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in remote locations.
• A valid driving licence.
• Willingness to travel frequently between properties.
