 Opportunity Summary

Role Overview

The Intern – Expeditor will provide crucial support for the timely delivery of goods, materials, and services.

This role involves:

• Coordinating with suppliers and logistics providers.

• Tracking shipments and resolving delivery-related issues.

• Maintaining effective communication to meet project timelines and operational requirements.

This position offers practical exposure to supply chain coordination while ensuring full compliance with Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements.

 Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring & Tracking: Monitor shipments, track delivery dates, and ensure compliance with agreed delivery schedules.

• Communication: Communicate regularly with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery.

• Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve potential delivery issues, including delays and stock shortages.

• Coordination: Coordinate with internal user departments to ensure smooth receipt of goods and materials.

• Reporting: Analyse delivery performance and prepare reports on shipment status, delivery timelines, and potential risks.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve expediting processes and operational efficiency.

• HSE Compliance: Ensure adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines, including incident and accident reporting.

 Qualifications & Competencies

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.

• Experience: No prior work experience is required.

 Skills & Competencies

• Technical: High level of computer proficiency (MS Word and Excel).

• Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

• Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Organizational: Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple shipments simultaneously, and possess good organisational and coordination skills.
