Job Title: Sales Officer
Industry: Microfinance

Job Summary
The Sales Officer is responsible for acquiring new clients, promoting microfinance products, and achieving sales and loan disbursement targets. The role involves field-based sales, client assessment, portfolio management, and ensuring timely loan repayments while maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities / Duties

Sales & Marketing: Support the achievement of company sales targets and assist in the implementation, planning, and execution of marketing and sales strategies.

Customer Service: Responsible for front-office customer service and brand security; go the “extra mile” to build trust, loyalty, and satisfaction.

Loan Processing: Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility, evaluate creditworthiness, and process loan applications within credit policy limits.

Data Management: Input borrower information into loan management systems and determine applicable ratios to set up debt payment plans.

Portfolio Growth: Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products to accomplish quotas.

Reporting & Analysis: Assist in developing company, portfolio, and market performance reports as needed.

Communication: Communicate with clients to request or provide information and assess customer needs to introduce appropriate loan types.

Relationship Management: Attend to all leads from partners and build lasting relationships with them.

Compliance: Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education: A degree in a business-related field or similar.

Experience: 2 years of sales experience in loan-related products.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.

Competencies: * Strong business acumen and high level of integrity.

Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently.

Problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
