Job Opportunity: Assistant Nursing Officer (ANO) / Enrolled Nurse


POST: ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER (ANO) / ENROLLED NURSE

Under the supervision of the hospital Matron the Assistant Nursing Officer (ANO) provides healthcare and support to patients in a medical facility. To ensure high standards of patient and family care are maintained at all times, under the direction of the Matron or Senior Nursing/Midwife Officer.

Maintain and motivate a professional and efficient staff and exercise leadership as part of the nursing/midwives team and maintain a professional friendly atmosphere and create a dignified environment. To ensure that all necessary standards are maintained in compliance with Kitengule Hospital Policy guidelines and according to nursing/midwives professional code of conduct.

Qualifications

  1. High school graduate or equivalent

  2. Must have a Diploma or Certificate in Nursing & midwifery

  3. Currently registered with TNMC

  4. Valid Nursing License

  5. At least one year working experience

  6. Knowledge of Computer skills (comfortable using a computer)

Main Duties

I. Determining how best to help and care patients

II. Providing physical support for patients with daily activities

III. Administer medication

IV. Obtaining information from physician, caregivers and nurses

V. Record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and temperatures

VI. Observe and chat patients’ daily records

VII. Ensuring patients receive appropriate hospital service and care

Attributes

  • Ability to think and work independently and with direction

  • Current CPR

  • Must be presentable, smart — with a humble look (smiling and welcoming face)

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Creative
