Organization Overview: HelpAge Tanzania is a national non-governmental organization envisioning a society of equal opportunities where older people and persons with disabilities are empowered and protected. They work across Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.
1. Administration and Humanitarian Programme Manager – Gender and Inclusion (AHGIPM)

Duty Station: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Role Purpose: Provide strategic leadership for organizational administration and the design/implementation of humanitarian and development programs. Ensures systematic integration of gender equality, disability inclusion, and disaster preparedness.

Key Responsibilities: Serves as the Gender and Disaster Preparedness Focal Person at a senior level and acts as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
2. Health and Care Programme Manager (HCPM)

Duty Station: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Role Purpose: Provide strategic leadership and technical oversight of HAT’s Health and Care portfolio. Ensures inclusive, person-centered health programming for older people and persons with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities: Responsible for program design, monitoring, evaluation, and donor compliance. Member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
3. Integrated Care Nurse (ICN)

Duty Station: Kigoma Region (Nduta and Nyarugusu refugee camps)

Role Purpose: Deliver holistic, integrated care services to older people, persons with disabilities, and marginalized People with Specific Needs (PSNs) in a humanitarian context.

Key Responsibilities: Focuses on improving functional ability and psychosocial wellbeing through preventive, curative, and rehabilitative care.
4. Senior Protection and Inclusion Officer (SPIO)

Duty Station: Kigoma Region, Tanzania
-
Role Purpose: Responsible for the design, planning, and administration of inclusive humanitarian and protection programs in refugee camps and host communities.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic leadership on protection for PSNs; engages with national and international humanitarian actors; member of the Senior Management Team (SMT).
Person Specification (Requirements)
-
Education: Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Nursing, or Disaster Management).

Professional Registration: Valid registration for health-related roles (Nursing/Medical).

Experience: Proven experience in humanitarian or development programming, preferably with NGOs/INGOs.

Skills: Strong understanding of safeguarding, gender equality, and protection principles. Fluency in English and Kiswahili.
