Job Opportunity: Assistant Risk and Compliance Officer

Job Purpose
This position is responsible for the implementation of a risk management strategy that ensures there is proactive management of risk to minimize risk exposure.
Main Responsibilities

Review and update risk tools, registers, and key risk indicators.

Support Business Continuity Management implementation and operational resilience.

Conduct risk assessments for products, services, and business changes.

Ensure the confidentiality and security of data received and stored.

Perform compliance reviews and policy/process walkthroughs.
-
Promote risk culture and support environmental and social management system implementation.
-
Monitor, report, and escalate material risks to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Academic and Professional Qualifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field from a recognized institution.

Professional Certification: CPA, CIA, CISA, or Risk Management certifications are highly desirable.

Professional Body: Membership with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
Experience
-
Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in Risk and Compliance in a reputable organization.

Preference is given to candidates from microfinance or banking institutions.

Understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing financial institutions in Tanzania.
