Role Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to guide Sales teams in delivering market-driven, differentiated service that builds sustainable competitiveness within clearly defined customer segments. The role is responsible for driving growth in sales volumes, increasing market share, and enhancing overall competitiveness.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
- Develop strategic business plans aligned with the three-year business strategy.
- Compile quarterly operational sales plans in support of long-term business objectives.
- Develop and manage annual time and territory management plans.
- Determine and manage annual budget requirements.
Customer & Market Execution
- Deliver customer service excellence across all assigned markets.
- Provide merchandising and signage support to enhance brand visibility.
- Implement national, regional, and ad hoc promotional activities.
- Implement and manage customer call frequency plans.
- Establish and maintain strong, sustainable business relationships.
- Develop and deliver tailored customer service packages.
Sales Performance & Market Intelligence
- Achieve predetermined sales volume and market share targets.
- Leverage sales information systems to drive informed decision-making.
- Monitor retail liquor pricing and competitive activity.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained at all times.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with ABInBev credit policies.
- Conduct SEC evaluations in line with company standards and procedures.
People Management & Leadership
- Manage and lead sales teams to achieve high performance.
- Develop employees through coaching, performance management, and skills development.
- Manage industrial relations (IR) climate effectively.
- Apply personnel and human resource management practices in line with company policies.

- Ability to work extended hours and perform effectively under pressure.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (advanced qualifications are an added advantage).
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in sales management, preferably within FMCG or beverage sectors.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies and managing budgets.
- Strong customer focus with experience in delivering tailored services and building long-term relationships.
- Proven capability in implementing promotions, merchandising initiatives, and using sales data effectively.
- Knowledge of relevant compliance requirements, including ABInBev credit policy and retail pricing structures.
- Experience in managing and developing sales teams and handling employee relations matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
