Key Responsibilities

1. Price Analysis & Decision Support

• Ensure all business cases are validated accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Support project owners in evaluating the economic and commercial benefits of new initiatives.
• Track post-implementation project performance to confirm that anticipated returns are achieved.

2. Performance Reporting

• Prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports to support management performance evaluation and decision-making.
• Conduct monthly review and reporting of key business metrics (volumes, revenues, customers) as captured in the Management Analysis and Performance Pack (MAPA).
• Prepare monthly performance reports for presentation to senior management.
• Support legal and regulatory reporting requirements by providing timely and accurate information to regulatory and statistical bodies.
• Provide quarterly country updates (macro-economic, political, and industry trends) to support central planning.
• Benchmark company performance against competitors and relevant industry standards.

3. Trend & Variance Analysis

• Prepare monthly performance commentaries with inputs from various departments, explaining revenue and cost movements.
• Monitor performance against budget, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.

4. Product and Segment Profitability Analysis

• Support preparation of monthly revenue bucket P&L analyses.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of key price, cost, and volume drivers for each revenue segment.
• Perform distribution margin analysis.
• Analyze performance of agents, AMBs, and kiosk sites.

5. Investment Analysis

• Support improved commercial awareness of the financial impact of investment and budget decisions, including cash flow and ROI implications.
• Ensure ROI is clearly defined and optimized across all asset categories.
• Prepare monthly profitability and asset quality analysis reports covering revenue, cost centers, and investments.
• Ensure all Opex and Capex requests are within approved budgets, or that appropriate approvals are obtained.
• Analyze causes of variances against plan and propose remedial actions.

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a proven track record in senior FP&A roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

Relevant Experience

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a multinational finance function.
• Experience in the Telecommunications and/or FinTech industry is an advantage.
• Experience working in a fast-growing business environment.
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting and FP&A tools (e.g., Oracle).
• Strong analytical capability in business, commercial, marketing, or financial analysis.
