Job Opportunity: Travel Consultant (Ticketing & Reservations)
CNS Group is seeking a dedicated Travel Consultant (Ticketing & Reservations) to join our hospitality team in Dar es Salaam. This role is designed for a professional who can manage the full travel lifecycle, from initial inquiry to seamless execution.
Job Overview
- Industry: Hospitality
- Location: Dar es Salaam
- Core Objective: Manage client inquiries, prepare customized inbound and outbound itineraries, handle reservations, and coordinate with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel & Logistics: Manage travel procedures, industry standards, and VISA requirements.
- Destination Expertise: Maintain familiarity with local and international attractions, travel seasons, and accommodation options.
- Itinerary Design: Create well-structured itineraries for safari, beach, and adventure packages with high attention to detail regarding time and distance.
- Reservation Systems: Use online platforms to search, compare, and book travel services.
- Supplier Coordination: Work with DMCs, hotels, and transfer companies to negotiate rates and maintain strong partnerships.
- Sales & Booking: Convert inquiries into confirmed bookings through strong follow-up and client engagement.
- Full Cycle Management: Handle inquiries, quotations, payment processing, and ongoing travel support.
- Corporate Accounts: Manage corporate client needs, including billing procedures and corporate travel policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous experience as a travel consultant is necessary.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in online booking systems. Ability to book air tickets via GDS systems is a significant plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication (written and verbal), excellent customer service, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Preferred: Experience in Visa support is considered an added advantage.
