Role Overview

The Business Manager and Head of Strategy – CEO Office is responsible for facilitating, managing, and evaluating strategic and operational initiatives coordinated from the CEO’s office. The role drives strategic direction by delivering high-quality operational insights, business analysis, and strategic advice to the CEO.


Core Job Description

Business Manager Responsibilities

  • Track actions from management meetings and follow up on agreed action points
  • Prepare presentations for Board meetings, senior management meetings, strategic sessions, and in-country reviews on behalf of the CEO
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to support preparation of the quarterly Board pack
  • Work with the Finance Director to prepare financial analysis for divisions and the overall business
  • Engage senior management on strategic and operational matters and follow up on behalf of the CEO
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the CEO

Head of Strategy Responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO and Executive Committee (EXCO) to develop, communicate, and implement the long-term strategy for Tanzania, aligned with Vodacom Group strategy
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Strategy team to ensure strategic consistency and alignment
  • Support delivery of special strategic projects, ensuring execution focus and monitoring progress of priority initiatives
  • Drive thought leadership by maintaining strong awareness of global technology and telecommunications trends
  • Develop deep understanding of Vodacom Group and Vodafone global strategic priorities
