Job Overview

• Position: Relationship Manager – Local Corporates.

• Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

• Reporting to: Head of Commercial Banking.

• Department: Human Resources.

• Core Purpose: To lead the local corporate banking division by delivering financial solutions to domestic mid- and large-cap corporations and driving sustainable growth.

Responsibilities & Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Client Management: Acquire new corporate clients and deepen existing relationships to grow loans, deposits, and fee income.

• Financial Solutions: Develop tailored products such as working capital facilities, term loans, trade services, and treasury products.

• Portfolio Oversight: Monitor covenants, review performance, and manage early warning signs to maintain asset quality.

• Strategy & Growth: Lead strategic account planning, deal origination, and drive the adoption of digital banking channels.

• Collaboration: Work with treasury and trade finance teams to provide competitive pricing and bespoke solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification is preferred.

• Experience: At least 5 years in corporate banking with significant exposure to credit structuring and relationship management.
