Job Purpose: Lead the development and execution of digital marketing strategies to drive business growth. This role focuses on performance marketing, digital sales conversion, and data-driven decision-making to strengthen Equity Bank’s digital footprint and ensure measurable ROI across all online channels.


Main Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy & Performance

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement an integrated digital marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and sales targets.

  • Conversion Journeys: Translate product plans into digital conversion journeys for core products across all key segments.

  • Media Management: Lead paid media strategies (Search, Display, Social, Programmatic, and Affiliate) to maximize ROI.

  • Funnel Optimization: Monitor conversion funnels, identify drop-off points, and implement improvements to drive user activation.

Collaboration & Execution

  • Commercial Alignment: Work with Product, Sales, and Branch teams to align digital traffic with physical conversions nationwide.

  • Visibility: Oversee SEO, SEM, and competitor monitoring to maintain top-tier digital visibility.

  • Creative Synergy: Partner with content and creative teams to deliver attractive, compelling campaigns and consistent brand messaging.

  • Project Management: Execute lead generation campaigns and handle special projects under short notice.

Leadership & Governance

  • Team Supervision: Supervise Digital Performance Officers, ensuring high-quality execution and reporting.

  • Agency & Tools: Lead agency relationships and evaluate automation/analytics tools.

  • Financial Oversight: Manage the marketing budget effectively and track expenses for year-round cost-effectiveness.

  • Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with applicable policies, acts, and national laws.


Requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Expertise: Deep understanding of digital marketing, performance analytics, and media buying.

  • Technical Savvy: Proficiency with SEO, SEM, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI, Meta Insights).

  • Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-level stakeholder relationships.

  • Analytical Mindset: Excellent strategic planning, presentation, and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Statistics, or Research.

  • Experience: 4+ years in digital performance marketing or digital sales.

  • Preferred Background: Experience in Banking, Fintech, Telecom, or E-commerce industries.

  • Track Record: Proven experience managing multi-channel campaigns with measurable commercial impact.
