Organization: Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (KKKT) – Northern Diocese

Institution: Lutheran Uhuru Hotel and Conference Center

Work Station: Moshi, Tanzania

Reporting to: Katibu Mkuu (General Secretary)

Purpose of the Position

To manage the overall operations of the hotel with professionalism and high competence. The manager is expected to ensure excellent guest services, effective resource management, and revenue growth while upholding the Christian values and foundational principles of the KKKT.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Operations: Oversee the daily management of the hotel and ensure the security and safety of guests and property.
Financial Management: Manage revenue and expenses, prepare performance reports, and handle budgeting and resource allocation.
Service Quality: Maintain high standards of guest services and foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
Promotion: Market hotel services and tourism activities (including mountain climbing and safaris) in accordance with Church principles and national laws.
Technology: Utilize digital systems for service delivery and general hotel management.

Qualifications Required

Education: First degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from a TCU-accredited institution.
Experience: * Minimum of five (5) years in hotel leadership and management.
- Proven experience in tourism marketing (specifically mountain climbing and international/domestic safaris).
- Experience in financial reporting and budget management.
Skills: * Strong leadership, communication, and planning abilities.
- Proficient in hotel digital systems and general computer use.
- Skilled in data entry and social media networking for business.
Personal Attributes: High integrity, honesty, and conduct consistent with the Christian principles of the Diocese.
Age: Preferred range is 35–55 years.

Salary and Benefits

Remuneration and benefits will be provided in accordance with the Staff Development Structure of the KKKT Northern Diocese.
