Relationship Manager; Personal Lending (1 Position(s))
- Designing the annual action planning for Mass Lending and ensuring it is executed by the Relationship Managers and the branches
- Prepare budget for the Mass Lending segment to the desired level and standard of the Bank
- Proactively nurture and leverage sustainable, robust stakeholder relationship, coalitions, and network internally and externally (Committees, Government Bodies/Officials, regulators and Banks)
- Ensure strategic agenda is delivered to the required standard to drive Schemes acquisition and relationship management is well maintained.
- Drive sales initiatives and ensure they are rolled out to the network together with a clear Model including Portfolio segmentation.
- Support the Senior Manager to forecast future market trends and translate these into segment level strategy to create and sustain competitive advantage
- Ensure leads generation directly or through branches for all the Employee Banking products with a key focus on Mass Lending.
- Ensure effective execution of rigorous sales management disciplines across the segment
- Conduct business/Sales discussion and negotiations for the purpose of generating relevant business with Employers and non-Employers, prepare business proposals for decision-making to the relevant committees.
- Review and advise on the credit appraisals and defend them to the relevant approval committees
- Generate sufficient leads for account opening across the entire product portfolio to motivate deposit levels
- Ensure effective execution of rigorous sales management disciplines across the segment
- Be an effective agent of change and role model for RMs and Branch network
- Establish, Strengthen and Manage Relationship with all the Schemes as well as at individual Official level
- Prepare budget and projections for the Mass Lending products, including existing as well as prospective and potential clients.
- Co-ordinate budget objectives to respective areas of responsibilities and ensure targets are achieved as per the approved budget
- Monitor and review branch performance on Mass Lending loan Portfolio to ensure targets are met and the quality of the portfolio is maintained.
- Generate customer feedback on the Asset products and use them to influence new product development, pricing, and customization of features according to market needs. Review feedback, conduct market intelligence research, and workshops, to initiate product review and product re-launch appropriately.
- Ensure high level of integrity through compliance, understanding of the loan book, credit policy, and the procedures by Relationship Officers.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction
- Good knowledge of economics, the role of credit in business and business development.
- Sound knowledge of Retail Banking products and services
- Excellent knowledge of mass market sector dynamics and related laws.
- Sound understanding of other bank’s loan products, policies, and procedures for cross selling purposes.
- Excellent knowledge of banking operations and financial markets in Tanzania.
- Self-motivated, innovative with ability to initiate and lead change.
- Good customer relationship management with ambition to provide solutions to customers’ expectations.
- Excellent communication (English and Kiswahili), numerical, analytical, report writing and presentation skills.
- Managerial and leadership skills (conceptual and resourcefulness)
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills for both internal and external customers.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to explain and handle complex information clearly and simply.
- Good sales and negotiation skills.
- Credit skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration & or any other business-related fields
- Postgraduate education in Banking and/or Banking certification(s) is an added advantage
- 4 years’ experience in banking operations, out of which 3 should be Relationship management and/or Loan portfolio management
