Core Responsibilities
The role is divided into five critical pillars of financial management:
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
-
Prepare and submit monthly/annual financial statements under IFRS.
-
Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet and general ledger.

Manage the “financial close” process and perform variance analysis.
-
Lead annual audit processes with internal and external auditors.
2. Asset, Capital & Tax Management
-
Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee capital expenditure (CapEx) tracking.

Manage local tax compliance (Corporate Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax).
-
Review tax computations and ensure import/export legislative compliance.
3. Governance & Internal Controls
-
Implement controls aligned with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) and IFC requirements.

Adhere to CCBA Treasury and accounting standards.

Drive process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies.
4. Business Partnering

Provide financial insights to operations and market finance teams.

Liaise with CCBA HQ on technical matters like IFRS and Treasury.

Manage relationships with outsourced service providers and tax authorities.
Requirements: Education & Experience
| Category | Minimum Requirements | Preferred / Added Advantage |
| Education | BCom Honours in Accounting / Finance | Master’s Degree |
| Certification | CPA (T), ACCA, or CIMA | Additional Certified Accreditation |
| Experience | 8 years in Tax or Financial Accounting | Experience in FMCG or Multinationals |
| Leadership | 3–5 years in a leadership/management role | Proven track record of staff development |
