JOB VACANCY: RESERVATIONS MANAGER
Location: Arusha, Tanzania

I. Position Overview
The Reservations Manager will oversee the end-to-end booking processes for our portfolio of lodges and camps. This role is pivotal in driving revenue, managing the reservations team, and ensuring a seamless transition from the booking stage to the guest’s arrival on-site.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Reservations & Revenue Management

Process Management: Handle end-to-end reservations for FIT, groups, travel agents, and tour operators across all properties.

Channel Integrity: Ensure absolute accuracy of rates, availability, allotments, and conditions across all booking channels.

Policy Oversight: Oversee booking confirmations, amendments, and cancellations in strict accordance with company policies.

Strategic Support: Collaborate with Sales and Management to implement rate strategies, promotions, and packages.

Revenue Growth: Monitor booking trends and occupancy to highlight risks/opportunities; drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
2. Team Leadership & Development

Mentorship: Lead, coach, and develop the reservations team to maintain high-quality service standards.

Workflow Management: Set clear performance expectations, staff schedules, and efficient daily workflows.

Training: Conduct regular training on system proficiency, product knowledge, and professional service standards.
3. Stakeholder & Guest Relations

Primary Contact: Serve as the lead liaison for travel agents, tour operators, and internal stakeholders.

Issue Resolution: Personally handle high-value bookings and professionally resolve escalated reservation disputes.

Operational Synergy: Ensure all pre-arrival data is accurately shared with the Operations team for a flawless guest experience.
4. Reporting & Compliance

Analytics: Prepare regular reports on pickup, forecasting, conversion rates, and cancellations.

Financial Oversight: Ensure compliance with payment terms, credit control procedures, and reservation policies.

Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits and system checks to ensure data accuracy.
III. Requirements & Qualifications

Education: Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or a related field.

Experience: 3–5 years in reservations or front office, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.

Sector Expertise: Proven experience in safari lodges, camps, or multi-property environments is a mandatory requirement.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in ResRequest (system knowledge is a must).

Added Advantage: A reputable management training certification is highly preferred.
