Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.

• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of professional working experience.

• Expertise: Logistics management, strategic planning, and safety compliance.

• Skills: Leadership, communication, negotiation, and data analysis.

• Technical: Proficient in logistics software and data tools.

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

• Develop and drive safety improvement roadmaps.

• Maintain high safety standards across all operations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory changes.

• Implement best practices in truck management.

Operational Management

• Oversee inbound/outbound logistics, weighbridge, loading, and yard operations.

• Implement technology solutions to drive operational efficiency.

Strategic Planning

• Lead logistics strategy to optimize processes and reduce costs.

• Develop contingency plans with Procurement to mitigate risks.

• Prepare and present performance reports to management.

• Collaborate with Commercial, Procurement, and Finance to enhance service.

• Promote backhauling initiatives and ensure optimal plant stock levels.

Supplier & Stakeholder Management

• Manage supplier relationships for reliability and cost-effectiveness.

• Collaborate with Procurement to secure transporters and optimize costs.

• Coordinate with production and finance departments for seamless operations.

• Manage fair transporter appraisal systems.

Performance & Team Development

• Drive logistics KPIs and monitor performance.

• Train and develop the team to build internal capability.

• Promote continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Governance & Additional Duties

• Ensure compliance with the HC Group Code of Business Conduct and internal guidelines.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the Logistics Director-EA.
