Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of goods from BML to clients. The driver is responsible for maintaining delivery schedules, handling goods with care, providing excellent customer service during deliveries, and upholding company standards of reliability and professionalism.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the safe keeping of all vehicle equipment, tools, first aid kits, and components.
  • Responsible for the vehicle which he is assigned to drive.
  • Account for all available information on road regulations & conditions, routes, and locations.
  • Completes the vehicle log book correctly and consistently in accordance with BML standards.
  • Immediately report accidents, or incidents; minor accidents, damage, loss, or theft of vehicle components.
  • Monitor fuel consumption daily and arrange for refueling promptly.
  • Perform other assignments/duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Assist with loading and unloading goods as required.
  • Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers about delivery status.
  • Interact professionally with clients and customers.
  • Address customer concerns politely and escalate issues when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education and Licensing
  • Certificate of Ordinary Level Education
Additional Requirements:
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili.
  • Good driving skills and knowledge of defensive driving techniques, with a clean driver track record.
