Job Vacancy: Mechanical Maintenance Team Leader

Job Summary

As a Team Leader, you will lead and train a workforce dedicated to the operation and preventive maintenance of cement manufacturing equipment. You are responsible for introducing advanced monitoring techniques, ensuring high safety standards, and managing spare parts planning to achieve budgeted MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership & Operations

Serve as the resident expert for mechanical equipment, specifically Vertical Roller Mills (VRM) and Reclaimers.
Lead a team of engineers to supervise maintenance activities and ensure timely completion.
Manage manpower allocation for daily monitoring, emergency breakdowns, and scheduled shutdowns.

2. Maintenance & Reliability

Plan and implement preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules to improve machinery reliability.
Conduct failure investigations and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Ensure all maintenance work adheres to high-quality standards.
Use the SAP System (MM and PM modules) for maintenance scheduling and inventory management.

3. Inventory & Optimization

Responsible for spare parts planning and maintaining the necessary inventory for smooth production.
Drive system upgrades and modifications to existing machinery to optimize performance.

4. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all plant equipment is in safe operating condition through routine inspections.
Impart safety training to team members to ensure a “safety-first” culture.
Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Section Head or Head of Department.

Academic Qualifications & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years in Mechanical Maintenance, with a strong preference for candidates with Cement Plant experience.
Software: Proven experience using SAP (specifically Maintenance and Materials modules).
