GIN Investment Limited, operating in the waste management industry, is seeking a qualified and motivated Transport Officer to be based in Dar es Salaam.

• Position: Transport Officer (Transport Manager)
• Location: Dar es Salaam

Role Summary

The Transport Officer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing transport operations to ensure efficient logistics, regulatory compliance, cost control, and optimal fleet performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations & Logistics: Plan and manage routing, dispatching, and vehicle tracking to optimize transport schedules
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, legal requirements, and vehicle maintenance standards
• Team Management: Supervise drivers and dispatch staff, including performance monitoring and scheduling
• Financial Control: Manage the transport budget, control fuel costs, and reduce operational expenses
• Fleet Maintenance: Oversee routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance of company vehicles

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Transport Management or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year proven experience in transport, logistics, or supply chain management
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of transportation legislation and safety standards
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Analytical and decision-making skills
• Technology: Proficiency in, or willingness to learn, Transport Management Systems (TMS) and fleet tracking software
