Job Title: Direct Sales Agent (DSA)

Job Purpose

The Direct Sales Agent (DSA) is responsible for driving customer acquisition, onboarding, and revenue growth through direct engagement with prospective clients. The role focuses on promoting the Bank’s products and services, building strong customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Acquisition & Sales

  • Actively source, engage, and acquire new customers through field visits, referrals, cold calling, and networking.
  • Promote and sell the Bank’s products and services, including accounts, loans, deposits, insurance, cards, and other banking solutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, clearly explaining features, benefits, and addressing customer queries.
  • Develop new business opportunities by following up on generated leads.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business to increase market share.
  • Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets as assigned.

Customer Onboarding & Relationship Management

  • Ensure accurate completion of account opening forms and supporting documentation in compliance with KYC and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct effective needs analysis when opening new accounts or providing product advice, in line with Bank guidelines and product requirements.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Follow up on completed sales to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.
  • Successfully hand over customer relationships to Personal Bankers, Branch Managers, and Business Development Managers under Employee Value Banking (EVB).

Service Delivery & Market Intelligence

  • Represent the Bank professionally in all customer interactions.
  • Attend to enquiries arising from customers, Credit teams, or Branch operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all service level agreements (SLAs) and remain updated on related changes.
  • Provide regular feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Market and provide accurate information on Personal Banking products to customers.
  • Provide additional product support information and identify service-related challenges.

Qualifications

  • Type of Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Field of Study: Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
