As a healthcare social enterprise, we serve communities, particularly the most vulnerable, through development programs and clinical services. We are committed to preventing lifelong disabilities wherever possible. Our Maternity and Newborn Wing in Dar es Salaam serves as a referral center for high-risk and emergency deliveries across the Eastern Zone of Tanzania.

Purpose of the Role

CCBRT is strengthening its IT and Business Applications Department and is looking for a dynamic and experienced Software Developer.

The Software Developer will use software development experience to analyze, develop, integrate, and implement web, server, cloud, and client-based applications that provide clinical and business capabilities to the organization. The role covers all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:

Designing and building new software solutions.
Modifying existing applications to incorporate new features.
Addressing errors and enhancing performance.
Collaborating with team members to ensure software meets operational and clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain software solutions supporting CCBRT’s clinical and business operations.
Participate in all phases of the SDLC.
Collaborate with the team to ensure applications are robust, efficient, and scalable.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
Ensure software compliance with organizational and security standards.

Candidate Requirements

Education:

BSc/BEng in IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong front-end and back-end programming skills (CSS3, PHP, Python, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, Bootstrap, jQuery).
Database management experience (MySQL, MS SQL RDBMS).
Keen understanding of ICT systems and desire to expand knowledge and assist others.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.
