Role Overview

We are excited to invite applications for the role of Strategic Insights Trainee. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about marketing and data-driven decision-making.

The role is designed to develop skills in market research, consumer behaviour analysis, and strategic planning, providing a strong foundation for a successful career in marketing.


Key Responsibilities

As a Strategic Insights Trainee, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gather, analyse, and interpret market data to support impactful marketing strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the analysis of market and consumer data using quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations to communicate insights to internal teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Development, and Communications
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative, research-driven marketing campaigns
  • Conducting targeted research to identify challenges affecting JTI brands and customer performance, and proposing corrective actions
  • Conducting market surveys and compiling reports to address identified market and branch gaps
  • Monitoring industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies

What You Will Learn and Experience

  • Hands-on experience with marketing analytics and data visualization tools
  • Practical understanding of consumer behaviour and purchasing decision drivers
  • Skills in market segmentation, targeting, and positioning
  • Translating data insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Working within a collaborative, fast-paced marketing environment
  • Developing professional communication and presentation skills

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Positive attitude and commitment to quality work
