Job Purpose
The role supports the Senior Manager in developing, managing, and improving Transaction Banking products and digital solutions. The position focuses on identifying market opportunities, managing product lifecycles, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative banking solutions that enhance customer experience and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis and Product Development
- Support the Senior Manager in evaluating market trends and identifying opportunities for Transaction Banking products.
- Design and develop innovative banking solutions aligned with business strategy and customer needs.
- Collaborate with ICT and market research teams in product development initiatives.
Product Lifecycle Management
- Lead product lifecycle activities including:
- Development of test cases
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Documentation of product programs
- Development of process flows
- Ensure timely implementation of solutions and maintain an updated Transaction Banking product pipeline.
Product Monitoring and Performance
- Monitor product performance and prepare periodic reports.
- Recommend improvements to enhance revenue generation and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct profitability analysis of product lines.
- Oversee portfolio quality in line with risk management guidelines.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to:
- Regulatory requirements
- Internal policies
- Risk management frameworks
- Stay updated on AML and TBML risks and support periodic policy reviews.
- Work with Legal and Compliance teams to ensure proper contract documentation and regulatory approvals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal departments including:
- ICT
- Operations
- Risk
- Legal
- Compliance
- Finance
- Procurement
- Support vendor onboarding and delivery of solutions.
Training and Client Engagement
- Provide training to internal teams on Transaction Banking products and solutions.
- Present digital banking solutions to clients to demonstrate product capabilities and benefits.
Incident Management and Process Improvement
- Address customer production issues and resolve incidents through root cause analysis.
- Support the periodic review of internal policies, product programs, and procedures.
- Ensure robust support models are in place and address business process failures promptly.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong background in Transaction Banking products and digital banking solutions
- Project management and solution structuring skills
- Knowledge of local banking regulations and industry guidelines
- Understanding of client segmentation and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong knowledge of banking and financial services products
- Technical skills related to digital financial solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, risk management, and credit assessment skills
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Interpersonal and networking abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Awareness of industry trends and market developments
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Banking
- Business Administration
- Computer Science
- Finance
- Or a related field
- Master’s Degree in Business Studies (added advantage)
- Project Management Certification (added advantage)
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Transaction Banking role
- Experience in product management and product development is an added advantage.
