Job Summary
We are seeking an Assistant Financial Manager to support financial management and decision-making processes. In this role, you will work closely with the Financial Manager to ensure the efficiency of financial operations, manage the finance team and reporting systems, and safeguard company assets. This position is vital for optimizing processes and procedures across all departments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Financial Management

Assist in the preparation and presentation of annual budgets.

Develop monthly management reports and quarterly forecast packs.

Review and report on financial performance on a monthly basis.
Accounting & Compliance
-
Facilitate internal and external audit activities in accordance with group policies.

Ensure all financial processes, dealings, and records meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Guarantee compliance with appropriate accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
Standards & Controls
-
Develop and maintain accounting and financial policies and controls.
-
Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.

Verify that all expenses and commitments are properly authorized and processed.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications
-
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent Advanced Diploma.

Professional Membership: Registered member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with IFRSs and TFRSs is essential.

Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and integrated accounting systems (e.g., Sage ERP, SAP ERP).

Advantage: Certification in Internal Auditing or specific Accounting Systems.
Experience & Skills
-
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within a Multinational Corporation (MNC).

Regulatory Knowledge: Competency in local tax laws and Tanzanian regulations.

Attributes: High level of accuracy, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.

Languages: Fluent in English.
