About the Organization

CSD & Registry Company Limited (CSDR) is the Central Securities Depository (CSD) responsible for the safekeeping, clearing, and settlement of securities transactions within the Tanzanian capital market ecosystem.

To strengthen the Board’s expertise and oversight, the company is seeking to appoint two (2) Independent Directors with strong professional backgrounds in:

Finance
Information Technology (IT)

The company is a subsidiary of Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange PLC.

Areas of Expertise Required

Candidates should possess competence, knowledge, and experience in one or more of the following areas:

Financial Management
Financial Investments
Accounting and Financial Reporting
Audit and Investments Oversight
Digital Systems and Digital Transformation
Cybersecurity
IT Governance

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Demonstrate strong personal qualities that enable meaningful contribution to Board deliberations.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage).
Possess at least 10 years of senior professional experience in a relevant discipline.
Demonstrate good understanding of corporate governance principles.
Exhibit high integrity and strong professional reputation.
Prior Board or senior management experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will contribute to the Board’s responsibilities, including:

Providing strategic guidance and oversight to the management of CSDR.
Ensuring sound corporate governance practices and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Supporting the development and implementation of the company’s strategic objectives.
Contributing professional expertise to strengthen Board effectiveness and decision-making.
