Position: QHSE Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee compliance with relevant legislation including OSHA, Fire, NEMC, GCLA, etc.
• Foster a proactive, positive, performance-driven QHSE culture.
• Lead implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
• Guide the company to conform with and achieve Cyanide Code certification when required.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Oversee incident investigations, corrective actions, and communicate lessons learned.
• Monitor QHSE performance, prepare reports, and advise management on practical solutions.
• Coordinate QHSE training, awareness programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage day-to-day QHSE challenges and provide operational support.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QHSE management role, with at least 2 years in oil, gas, or mining. Experience in transport and logistics is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Management, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Formal Occupational Health and Safety training:
  • NOSHC 1 certification – mandatory
  • NEBOSH – preferred
  • NOSHC 2 – mandatory
• Demonstrated competence in ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 systems.
• Strong knowledge of GCLA regulations and hazardous chemical transportation procedures.
• Familiarity with Cyanide Code and ICMI requirements.
