Position: NOC Monitor

Job Overview

The NOC Monitor is responsible for the continuous monitoring of telecommunication tower sites. The role ensures network uptime, effective incident management, and efficient communication between field teams and clients in accordance with SHEQ procedures and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).


Key Responsibilities

1. Monitoring & Escalation

  • Monitor site infrastructure status through OSS systems.
  • Identify network issues and escalate incidents to the appropriate teams when necessary.

2. Incident Management

  • Ensure all incidents are reported, tracked, and resolved within defined SLA and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) targets.

3. Work Orders

  • Raise site work orders for issues requiring client intervention or further technical action beyond on-site resolution.

4. Access Control

  • Verify site access requests and maintain records of authorized personnel accessing telecom sites.

5. Reporting

  • Prepare the LD Notice Board report daily, detailing liquidated damages, penalties, and power uptime performance.

6. Field Support

  • Provide technical information from RMS/OSS systems to field technicians and engineers.
  • Validate maintenance visits using car tracking systems.

7. Documentation

  • Conduct detailed shift handovers to ensure smooth operational continuity.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of Trouble Tickets (TRB) related to critical alarms and incidents.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Telecommunications
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Information Technology
    • Or a related field

Experience

  • At least two (2) years of experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or telecom monitoring environment is an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of telecommunication network monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Experience using OSS/RMS monitoring systems and ticketing tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills when working with field teams and clients.
