Job Summary
The Loan Officer will be responsible for identifying potential clients, assessing loan applications, and managing loan portfolios to ensure quality lending and timely repayments. The role involves working closely with clients and communities to promote loan products while maintaining strong portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit potential clients for the organization’s loan products.
- Conduct field visits to assess borrower eligibility and creditworthiness.
- Process loan applications and prepare all necessary client documentation.
- Monitor loan utilization to ensure funds are used appropriately.
- Track repayment schedules and follow up with clients to maintain portfolio quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with borrowers and local communities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Loan Officer.
- Knowledge of lending procedures and credit risk assessment.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
