Position Overview
Barrick Gold Corporation is seeking to recruit a Winder Electrician to join the team at Bulyanhulu Gold Mine.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain winder and shaft equipment to minimize downtime and maximize availability
- Perform overhauls in line with company policies and procedures
- Conduct testing and safety checks on winder systems
- Troubleshoot faults and respond to breakdowns
- Carry out routine inspections and operational checks
- Implement modifications as per engineering instructions
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching to junior personnel
- Promote and enforce electrical safety standards and procedures
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and incident investigations
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
- Execute tasks as directed by supervisors
Qualification Requirements
- FTC or Trade Certificate in Electrical from a recognized institution
- Valid Tanzania Driving License (Class D & E or C)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Winder Electrician in mining or related industry
- Underground mining experience is an added advantage
- PLC knowledge is an added advantage
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Winder drives and safety circuit systems
- Shaft and reticulation systems
- Rock breaker and load-out operations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and layouts
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
- Fluency in English and Swahili (written and verbal)
