With 85 years of experience and a presence in over 75 countries, we strive for a just world alongside children, young people, and our partners. In Tanzania, where we have operated since 1991, we work across eight regions including Geita, Mwanza, Mara, Morogoro, Pwani, Rukwa, Katavi, and Kigoma.

We are currently seeking a Policy & Advocacy Intern to support our team in Dar es Salaam.


Role Overview

  • Position: Policy & Advocacy Intern

  • Location: Dar es Salaam

  • Supervisor: Policy & Advocacy Specialist

  • Primary Objective: To support a wide range of demanding activities in the department, including planning, coordination, and follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage communication and ensure smooth coordination across levels.

  • Support meaningful youth participation in policy and advocacy processes.

  • Gather information, prepare drafts, and assist in the dissemination of policy and advocacy activities.

  • Support in responding to partner requests and preparing presentations.

  • Assist with any new initiatives within the department.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Mass Communications, International Relations, or any relevant field.

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Swahili.

  • Skills: Good planning and organizing skills.

  • Residency: Must be a resident of Dar es Salaam.
