The Barrick North Mara Team is seeking to recruit an IT Operator to join and grow within our team.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate Integrated Tool Carriers and heavy machinery such as forklifts and loaders with various attachments (forks, buckets, booms)
- Load, transport, and unload heavy materials efficiently
- Transport mining supplies (pipes, cables, ventilation components, drill consumables, spare parts) from surface to underground working areas
- Support Production and Electrical/Communications teams by positioning and moving equipment
- Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
- Perform risk assessments and hazard identification (Hazard ID)
- Comply with safety regulations and operational standards
- Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area
- Assist with ground control activities (e.g., scaling) when required
- Perform basic equipment maintenance, fault finding, and lubrication
Qualification Requirements
- Secondary education (ordinary or advanced level) or tertiary education
- Valid driver’s license (Heavy Vehicle/HT license preferred)
- Diploma in Mining Engineering (added advantage)
Experience & Competencies
- Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in underground mining
- Proven experience in operating heavy mining equipment
- Knowledge of underground drilling operations
- Strong understanding of underground mining practices and processes
- Familiarity with Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations in mining
