About the Function
Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team is at the heart of sourcing, producing, and delivering our beloved brands. Over half of Diageo’s 30,000+ employees work in this area, handling complex operations across 100 sites in over 30 countries.

About the Role
The Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing electrical and instrumentation maintenance at the brewery to ensure uninterrupted production. You will oversee all electrical, instrumentation, and automation tasks within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain health & safety standards in line with Diageo Management Systems.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on brewery electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Provide process instrumentation and control support.
- Investigate failures, problems, and deviations; identify root causes, verify, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide technical assistance to resolve electrical or automation issues.
- Maintain backup of equipment programs and operational parameters.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts, follow up on orders, and track deliveries.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Conduct conditional monitoring of machines or systems under simulated conditions, recording results.
- Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instruments and testing equipment.
- Write commissioning procedures for electrical and instrumentation installations.
- Document work orders and ensure root cause analyses are recorded for electrical/instrumentation failures.
- Conduct equipment criticality assessments, identify PM gaps, and develop improvement plans.
- Drive asset care best practices to improve equipment performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the beverages industry.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management systems and asset care best practices.
- In-depth understanding of automation systems.
