JOB VACANCY: Field Sales Representative

Department: Sales & Marketing
Reporting To: Sales Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam


Job Purpose

The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding the company’s market presence. This includes identifying new business opportunities, engaging clients, and promoting aluminium products such as doors, windows, partitions, railings, shower enclosures, and related solutions.

The role focuses on field sales, client relationship management, and project follow-ups.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify and approach potential clients including contractors, developers, architects, site engineers, and homeowners
  • Conduct regular field visits to construction sites, offices, and other client locations
  • Generate leads and convert them into sales opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential projects

2. Sales Execution

  • Present and promote company aluminium products and services
  • Prepare and submit quotations, proposals, and tender documents
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales deals in line with company policies
  • Follow up on quotations to ensure conversion into confirmed orders

3. Market Intelligence & Research

  • Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and customer needs
  • Provide feedback to management on customer preferences and demand

4. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout project delivery
  • Handle inquiries and complaints, coordinating solutions with internal teams

5. Coordination with Internal Teams

  • Work closely with Design, Production, and Installation teams
  • Communicate client requirements clearly to technical teams
  • Track project progress and keep clients informed

6. Marketing Activities

  • Promote products through site visits, meetings, and networking events
  • Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities
  • Contribute to social media and digital marketing through field insights

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
  • Track performance against targets and KPIs

8. Payment Follow-Up

  • Follow up on client payments according to agreed terms
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely collections

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Achievement of monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Number of new clients acquired
  • Lead-to-sales conversion rate
  • Total value of projects secured
  • Customer satisfaction and retention rate

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or a related field
  • Minimum 2–4 years of sales experience (preferably in construction, aluminium, or building materials industry)

Required Skills

  • Strong sales and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet targets
  • Understanding of construction industry and aluminium products
  • Basic ability to read technical drawings (added advantage)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness to work extensively in the field (outdoor environment)
  • Valid driving license (added advantage)
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
