CNS Group is seeking a highly experienced Head of Risk and Compliance to lead risk management and regulatory compliance functions within the Banking sector. This role is responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies to safeguard the organization’s financial and operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Development: Develop and implement risk management and compliance frameworks.

• Risk Assessment: Identify, assess, and monitor financial, operational, and regulatory risks, and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with banking regulations, laws, and internal policies across all departments and business units.

• Policy Leadership: Lead the development of risk policies, procedures, and controls.

• Reporting: Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to senior management and the board.

• External Liaison: Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.

• Audits: Oversee internal compliance reviews and audits.

• Culture & Leadership: Promote a strong risk awareness and compliance culture while leading and developing the risk and compliance team.

• Monitoring: Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry developments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.

• Professional Certification: Highly preferred certifications include FRM, PRM, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.

• Experience: * Minimum 8–10 years of experience in risk management and compliance.

  • At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Strong experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry.

• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of risk frameworks, regulatory compliance, governance, and banking laws.

• Key Skills: Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Communication: Strong communication and reporting skills with high integrity and professional judgment.
