Objective of the Role

To support the Superintendent – Metallurgy Security in managing security operations within the process plant and gold room, ensuring protection of:

• Personnel
• Gold-bearing materials
• Company assets

---

Key Responsibilities

Product Control & Accounting

• Oversee metal accounting, reconciliation, and gold production reporting
• Ensure accurate sampling, weighing, and product tracking

Security & Asset Protection

• Monitor and control product movement within the plant
• Maintain strict chain-of-custody and loss-prevention measures
• Ensure secure handling of gold-bearing materials

Operational Collaboration

• Work closely with:
  • Processing teams
  • Laboratory teams
  • Security teams
• Ensure compliance with bullion shipment standards (VPSHR)

Risk Management & Investigations

• Support crime prevention initiatives
• Conduct investigations and incident reporting
• Collaborate with internal security units

Systems & Data Management

• Maintain accurate system records, including:
  • Provenance Gold Bar data (Axedras)
  • High-value sample records (MPFSA)
• Use systems such as:
  • Au Risk
  • Isometrix

Continuous Improvement

• Support improvements in product control systems
• Assist in budget monitoring and optimization initiatives

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

• Degree or Diploma in:
  • Metallurgy
  • Mineral Processing
  • Chemistry
  • Related technical field

Certifications & Documents

• Basic security training certificate
• Valid driving license (added advantage)
• NIDA number/card
• TIN certificate

---

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• 3–5 years’ experience in Security Metallurgy
• Experience in mining or industrial processing environments

Technical Skills

• Metal accounting and reconciliation
• Sampling systems and reporting processes
• Familiarity with:
  • CCTV systems
  • Access control systems
  • Intrusion detection systems

Systems Knowledge

• Au Risk
• MPFSA
• Isometrix
• Axedras (Gold Bar Integrity systems)
