Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Accountant (woman or man) to contribute to our financial operations. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting and financial management, with a focus on accuracy, organization, and proactive problem-solving.
Candidate Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA/ACCA certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, preferably in FMCG or a multinational environment.
- Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

- Strong sense of method, accuracy, and organization in financial record-keeping.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret and summarize financial data.
- Proficiency in office automation tools and accounting software (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, accounting systems).
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and basic management practices.
- Team player with rigor, reliability, and the ability to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Proactive, with initiative and strong problem-solving skills in financial matters.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear reporting and stakeholder collaboration.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
Your Challenges
- Translate financial policies and strategic recommendations into actionable accounting practices, ensuring proper implementation.
- Monitor financial transactions, analyze accounting data, and share insights with management and relevant departments.
- Conduct or commission additional financial analysis and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Develop and formalize accounting procedures, ensuring clarity and adherence to standards.
- Gather all necessary financial data and documentation to support reporting, audits, and decision-making.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure timely activity reporting, budget tracking, and monitoring of expenditures.
- Study and assimilate company operations to understand financial implications across departments.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of accounting standards, regulations, and internal control processes.
