💼 Role Overview

🎯 Role Purpose

• Manage projects in line with project management policies and procedures
• Handle change control for introducing new systems, products, services, and processes
• Ensure smooth transfer of knowledge and support tools from suppliers/developers to Vodafone Tanzania (VTL) support teams

---

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and deliverables clearly
• Ensure all project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and scope
• Escalate delays or risks to protect project timelines
• Identify and document all project dependencies during scoping sessions
• Define and agree on the correct implementation approach
• Ensure all teams follow the agreed project implementation approach
• Ensure training, processes, and support systems are ready before go-live
• Review and update existing processes to support new products and services

🧠 Who You Are

Core Competencies, Knowledge & Experience

• Strong knowledge of project management principles
• Understanding of IT systems (PCs, servers, applications, and platforms)
• Good understanding of telecommunications industry fundamentals
• Strong grasp of business processes and operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required

🎓 Required Qualifications

• Degree in:
  • Computing
  • Telecommunications
  • Electronics Science
  • Data Communications

---

💼 Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in:
  • IT field, or
  • Customer care environment
• GSM experience is an added advantage
• Project management experience is an added advantage
• Project Management certification is an added advantage
