💼 Position Overview
🎯 Role Summary
The Regional Service Engineer is responsible for managing technical operations within a region, ensuring reliable energy system performance and high Hub uptime.
- Reports to: Regional Coordinator
- Core Focus: Maintain energy system reliability and operational uptime
📊 Key Performance Targets (Accountabilities)
- Maintain 99.9% energy uptime across all regional hubs
- Ensure 98% pack health (maximum 2% defective packs at any time)
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
🔌 Energy System Operations
- Monitor and maintain hub energy levels to prevent downtime
- Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance on energy systems
- Ensure optimal performance and system longevity
🔧 Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose and repair defective battery packs
- Conduct both remote and on-site troubleshooting
- Resolve technical issues using remote access tools
- Test and restore faulty products to working condition
📡 Hub Setup & Commissioning
- Oversee hub installation, commissioning, and go-live processes
- Conduct testing and provide final sign-off for activation
- Set up hub systems, phones, and controllers
- Ensure proper configuration and operational readiness
📊 Monitoring & Data Management
- Track swap rates and PV percentages across hubs
- Take corrective action when thresholds exceed 80%
- Maintain accurate hub data in dashboards and systems
- Monitor technical reports to identify trends and risks
- Use GitLab to document, track, and escalate technical issues
📦 Inventory & Resource Management
- Maintain accurate records of:
- Equipment
- Components
- Defective items
- Ensure proper tracking of inventory levels
🌐 Connectivity & Systems Support
- Ensure stable connectivity across all hubs
- Support firmware and product testing
- Participate in system improvement and innovation activities
👥 Leadership & Communication
- Communicate technical issues to Regional Coordinator
- Coach and mentor technical interns weekly
- Support team development using the Jaza Tech Handbook
- Promote knowledge sharing and technical growth
🎓 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Renewable Energy
- Or related technical field
💼 Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in:
- Electrical systems troubleshooting
- Power electronics maintenance
- Energy systems optimization
