About the Company

Goodwill (Tanzania) Ceramics Co., Ltd is a leading tile manufacturer based in Mkuranga, Tanzania. Established in 2015, the company has invested over USD 50 million and produces more than 80,000 square meters of ceramic tiles daily.

As part of its continued growth, the company is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join its dynamic team.

Position: Accountant Officer & Trainees

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and record all accounting transactions accurately
• Prepare budget forecasts and financial plans
• Produce and publish timely financial statements
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments and transactions
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns in compliance with regulations
• Audit financial transactions and supporting documents
• Maintain confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups when necessary
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience
• Proven experience working as an Accountant
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is an added advantage
• Ability to comply with company rules, policies, and regulations
